Support ServicesA centrally located facility within Eastern Contra Costa County to include a building and grounds which will encompass the following:
- Support Groups. Held monthly for parents to come and meet with parents facing similar circumstances, sharing ideas, successes, hardships, networking, as well as having the opportunity for guest speakers, and in-service training to aid them in parenting special needs children.
- Online Support Group. To facilitate constant communication and networking between parents facing similar challenges. Click here for more information.
- Resource Manual. A binder style guide compiled by parents of special needs children, for parents having special needs children which contains referrals to professionals in the area, the forms, resource links, recreational activities, and educational services needed to navigate the challenging waters of parenting the special needs child. A “How To” guidebook and the owners manual we all need to be more proactive, successful parents. Each manual has a pull out section with research specific to you child’s diagnosis.
